You don’t arrive in Hong Kong by accident; someone was ambitious enough to get here.

Hong Kong is an extraordinary city which attracts extraordinary people. If you’re reading this, you’re extraordinary somehow – whether or not you realise it; though I’m sure you already know.

Ambitious, persistent, relentless people thrive in Hong Kong. If you’ve a glimmer of extreme in your personality, it may be a good fit for you; whether for two years or ten is up to you!

To thrive here, we must lean into the areas we shine brightest, follow our most persistent passions – and actively troubleshoot weaknesses, for this city is a crucible which reveals our greatest strengths and flaws alike.

Optimists and organised extremes arrive here, those with precision and adventure in their souls. Eager for mastery, to be their best, to push and grow and strive. This is the city to light that flame and fan it.

But this crucible city is high voltage. It can burn the undisciplined or indulgent; fray within six months is a common visible timeline, two years is another burnout point.

Givers with clear boundaries do well here, once we get used to the sharp elbows, but in the marathon of meta-motivation it’s a city where long term connections and a quality reputation are solid gold.

It’s my small town big city, where I bump into people daily, say hello, and quietly embroider the enriching tapestry of my global network of high achieving friends and acquaintances.

For we met in Hong Kong after all, and this extraordinary city attracts extraordinary people.
Like you. ❤️
